70/294. Political Declaration of the Comprehensive High-level
Midterm Review of the Implementation of the Istanbul
Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries
for the Decade 2011–2020
The General Assembly,
Recalling its resolution 69/231 of 19 December 2014, in which it decided to
conduct a comprehensive high-level midterm review of the implementation of the
Istanbul Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries for the Decade
2011–2020, 1 as well as its resolutions 70/216 of 22 December 2015 and 70/261 of
15 April 2016,
1.
Endorses the Political Declaration of the Comprehensive High-level
Midterm Review of the Implementation of the Istanbul Programme of Action for the
Least Developed Countries for the Decade 2011–2020, adopted by the
Comprehensive High-level Midterm Review, which is contained in the annex to the
present resolution;
2.
Expresses its profound gratitude to the Government and the people of
Turkey for hosting the Comprehensive High-level Midterm Review from 27 to
29 May 2016 and for providing all the necessary support.
