Also decides to extend the mandate of the independent international factfinding mission on the Islamic Republic of Iran for a further period of one year to allow it to complete its mandate, including by ensuring that the large amount of evidence of human rights violations in the Islamic Republic of Iran related to the protests that began on 16 September 2022, especially with respect to women and children, is fully and effectively documented, verified, consolidated and preserved, and requests the independent international fact-finding mission to present a report and recommendations to the Human Rights Council at its fifty-eighth session during a joint interactive dialogue with the Special Rapporteur; 3. Calls upon the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to cooperate fully with the Special Rapporteur and the independent international fact-finding mission, to grant them unhindered access to the country and to provide all information necessary to allow the fulfilment of their mandates, in line with its standing invitation; 4. Encourages the Special Rapporteur and the independent international factfinding mission to cooperate closely, with a view to promoting synergy; 5. Requests the Secretary-General to provide the Special Rapporteur and the independent international fact-finding mission with the resources necessary to fulfil their mandates. 54th meeting 4 April 2024 [Adopted by a recorded vote of 24 to 8, with 15 abstentions.
