64/118. Measures to eliminate international terrorism
The General Assembly,
Guided by the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations,
Reaffirming, in all its aspects, the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism
Strategy adopted on 8 September 2006, 1 enhancing the overall framework for the
efforts of the international community to effectively counter the scourge of
terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and recalling the first biennial review
of the Strategy, on 4 and 5 September 2008, and the debates that were held on that
occasion, 2

Recalling the Declaration on the Occasion of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the
United Nations, 3

Recalling also the United Nations Millennium Declaration, 4

Recalling further the 2005 World Summit Outcome, and reaffirming in particular
the section on terrorism,

Recalling the Declaration on Measures to Eliminate International Terrorism,
contained in the annex to General Assembly resolution 49/60 of 9 December 1994,
and the Declaration to Supplement the 1994 Declaration on Measures to Eliminate
International Terrorism, contained in the annex to Assembly resolution 51/210 of
17 December 1996,
Recalling also all General Assembly resolutions on measures to eliminate
international terrorism and Security Council resolutions on threats to international
peace and security caused by terrorist acts,
