68/193. Strengthening the United Nations crime prevention
and criminal justice programme, in particular its
technical cooperation capacity
The General Assembly,
Reaffirming its resolutions 46/152 of 18 December 1991, 60/1 of 16 September
2005, 67/1 of 24 September 2012 and 67/186, 67/189, 67/190 and 67/192 of
20 December 2012,
Reaffirming also its resolutions relating to the urgent need to strengthen
international cooperation and technical assistance in promoting and facilitating the
ratification and implementation of the United Nations Convention against
Transnational Organized Crime and the Protocols thereto, 1 the Single Convention on
Narcotic Drugs of 1961 as amended by the 1972 Protocol, 2 the Convention on
Psychotropic Substances of 1971, 3 the United Nations Convention against Illicit
Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of 1988, 4 the United Nations
Convention against Corruption 5 and all the international conventions and protocols
against terrorism,
Reaffirming further the Political Declaration and Plan of Action on
International Cooperation towards an Integrated and Balanced Strategy to Counter
the World Drug Problem 6 adopted by the General Assembly at its sixty-fourth
session,
Reaffirming the commitments undertaken by Member States in the United
Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy adopted on 8 September 2006 7 and its
