- Recognizes the work of the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, its increased level of work and the progress achieved since the establishment of the mandate of the Special Representative, welcomes the “Act to protect children affected by conflict” campaign initiated by the Special Representative, and, bearing in mind its resolution 63/241 of 24 December 2008 and paragraphs 35 to 37 of its resolution 51/77 of 12 December 1996, as well as paragraph 39 of its resolution 72/245 of 24 December 2017, recommends that the Secretary-General extend the mandate of the Special Representative for an additional period of one year, until 2021;
