A/HRC/RES/53/30 Government of Ukraine to respect, protect and fulfil the human rights of all persons within its jurisdiction, Taking note of the reports of the Office of the High Commissioner on the situation of human rights in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Ukraine, submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolutions 71/2051 and 72/190,2 and the reports of the Secretary-General submitted pursuant to Assembly resolutions 73/263,3 74/168,4 75/192,5 76/1796 and 77/229, Welcoming the cooperation of the Government of Ukraine with the Office of the High Commissioner, including its monitoring mission in Ukraine, and with other relevant international and regional human rights mechanisms, Recognizing the importance of the regular reports of the Office of the High Commissioner based on the findings of the monitoring mission for the proper assessment of the situation of human rights in Ukraine and an evaluation of the needs for technical assistance to Ukraine in the field of human rights, Supporting the increased commitment by Ukraine to respect, protect and fulfil the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all persons within its jurisdiction and its cooperation with human rights treaty bodies and international institutions, Recognizing the continuing need for ongoing reporting, including on the most serious human rights problems within Ukraine and their root causes, Acknowledging that the Human Rights Council shall, inter alia, contribute, through dialogue and cooperation, towards the prevention of human rights violations and abuses, and respond promptly to human rights emergencies, 1. Welcomes the oral presentations by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to the States Members of the Human Rights Council and observers of the findings of the reports of the Office of the High Commissioner on the situation of human rights in Ukraine held, in accordance with Council resolutions 29/23, 32/29, 35/31, 41/25 and 47/22 from the forty-eighth to fifty-third sessions of the Council; 2. Requests the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to continue to present an oral update on the findings of each of the reports of the Office of the High Commissioner on the situation of human rights in Ukraine to the Human Rights Council at each of its sessions, until its fifty-ninth session, and before the end of 2023 and 2024, each to be followed by an interactive dialogue. 38th meeting 14 July 2023 [Adopted by a recorded vote of 28 to 3, with 16 abstentions.
