14. Decides further that, for Member States that have not fulfilled their obligations to the Support
Mission, their share of the unencumbered balance of 9,117,000 dollars gross (8,279,700 dollars net) for
the period ending 30 June 1997 shall be set off against their outstanding obligations;
15. Decides to appropriate the amount of 17,704,685 dollars gross (16,959,085 dollars net) for the
maintenance of the Civilian Police Mission for the period from 1 July 1998 to 30 June 1999, inclusive
of the amount of 894,085 dollars for the support account for peacekeeping operations, to be apportioned,
as an ad hoc arrangement, among Member States in accordance with the scheme set out in the present
resolution, and taking into account the scale of assessments for the years 1998 and 1999, as set out in its
resolution 52/215 A;
16. Decides also that, in accordance with the provisions of its resolution 973 (X), there shall be set
off against the apportionment among Member States, as provided for in paragraph 15 above, their
respective share in the Tax Equalization Fund of the estimated staff assessment income of 745,600 dollars
approved for the Civilian Police Mission for the period from 1 July 1998 to 30 June 1999;
17. Invites voluntary contributions to the Civilian Police in cash and in the form of services and
supplies acceptable to the Secretary-General, to be administered, as appropriate, in accordance with the
procedure and practices established by the General Assembly;
18. Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its fifty-third session an item entitled "Financing
of the United Nations Support Mission in Haiti, the United Nations Transition Mission in Haiti and the
United Nations Civilian Police Mission in Haiti".
