technological research, policy and programmes to reduce the burden of domestic tasks and establishing social infrastructure in rural areas; and requests the Secretary-General and Governments to ensure that the issues of rural women and development programmes are an integral part of the International Development Strategy for the Fourth United Nations Development Decade. -vi-
