- Recognizes the ongoing intergovernmental efforts to achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, and urges the United Nations system to continue efforts to achieve gender balance in appointments to all categories of staff, including the Professional and higher categories, within the United Nations system at the Headquarters, regional and country levels, bearing in mind the principle of equitable geographical representation and in line with Article 101 of the Charter of the United Nations, with due regard to the representation of women from developing countries, and convinced of the need to guarantee equal opportunities for women and men in gaining access to senior decision-making positions, including to the post of Secretary-General, bearing in mind the need to select the best candidate, and in this regard notes the Secretary-General’s system-wide strategy on gender parity;

Exhorte les États à adopter au niveau national des politiques et des lois en matière d’immigration qui tiennent compte des besoins des femmes, conformément aux obligations découlant du droit international, afin de défendre les droits de la personne de toutes les femmes et les filles migrantes, quel que soit leur statut migratoire ; de reconnaître les compétences et les niveaux d’études des travailleuses migrantes en vue de promouvoir leur avancement économique dans tous les secteurs et, le cas échéant, de faciliter l’accès de ces femmes à des emplois productifs et à un travail décent ainsi que leur insertion dans la population active, y compris dans les domaines de l’éducation et de la science et de la technologie ; d’accorder toute l’importance voulue à la défense des droits des travailleuses et au maintien de conditions de sécurité sur le lieu de travail pour les travailleuses migrantes et celles qui ont un emploi précaire, notamment en prévenant et en combattant les mauvais traitements et l’exploitation, en protégeant les travailleuses migrantes dans tous les secteurs et en favorisant la mobilité de la main-d’œuvre ; de donner aux migrantes nouvellement arrivées des informations ciblées, accessibles et exhaustives, qui tiennent compte des questions de genre et qui soient adaptées aux enfants, des conseils juridiques sur leurs droits et obligations, notamment sur le respect des lois nationales et locales, l’obtention de permis de travail et de séjour, la modification de leur statut, l’enregistrement auprès des autorités, l’accès à la justice pour déposer plainte en cas de violation de leurs droits, ainsi qu’un accès aux services de base ; d’encourager la coopération entre les diverses parties prenantes, y compris les pays d ’origine, de transit et de destination, en veillant à ce que les femmes et les filles migrantes soient dûment munies de pièces d’identité et à ce que des documents pertinents leur soient fournis pour faciliter l’accès aux mécanismes de protection sociale ; de faciliter la réintégration durable des femmes et des filles migrantes après leur retour en leur offrant un accès égal à la protection et aux services sociaux ;
