FINANCING FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE UNITED NATIONS
OBSERVER MISSION IN SOUTH AFRICA
1.
Approves an appropriation of 19,266,000 United States dollars
under section 4 (Peace-keeping operations and special missions) of the
programme budget for the biennium 1994-1995, 1/ and an appropriation of
1,464,200 dollars under section 28 (Staff assessment), to be offset by income
in the same amount under income section 1 (Income from staff assessment);
2.
Requests the Secretary-General to submit to the General Assembly a
full final performance report relating to the final expenditures of the United
Nations Observer Mission in South Africa and to the activities budgeted and
implemented;
3.
Also requests the Secretary-General to include in the next report
detailed financial statements of the Observer Mission and an inventory of
assets, including information concerning their final disposition, and to
assess the experiences and budget performance of the Mission with a view to
formulating recommendations for similar future operations;
