It had before it a note by the Secretariat containing the draft provisional agenda and documentation for the forty-fourth session of the Commission (E/CN.6/1999/L.12). 2. At the same meeting, the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Gender Issues and the Advancement of Women made a statement. 3. The Commission then approved the provisional agenda and documentation for its forty-fourth session (see chap. I, sect. C, draft decision II). 46
