A/RES/57/170 1. Invites Governments and relevant intergovernmental organizations and non-governmental organizations to consider carefully and to use, as appropriate, the plans of action for the implementation of the Vienna Declaration on Crime and Justice: Meeting the Challenges of the Twenty-first Century, which are contained in the annex to resolution 56/261, as guidance for the formulation of legislation, policies and programmes in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice at the national and international levels; 2. Requests the Secretariat to report to the Commission on Prevention and Criminal Justice at its twelfth session on the outcome discussion with the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Programme Network of Institutes regarding their possible contribution implementation of the plans of action, pursuant to resolution 56/261; Crime of its Justice to the 3. Requests the Executive Director of the Office on Drugs and Crime 2 of the Secretariat to keep the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice informed of the progress made in the follow-up to the plans of action in his reports on the work of the Centre for International Crime Prevention; 4.
