peacekeeping expenses, in the event the Security Council does not approve the
mandate to establish a peacekeeping operation that has been initiated under the
commitment authority;
17. Regrets the delay in the liquidation of closed peacekeeping missions and
the reimbursement of the respective shares to the Member States;
18. Requests the Secretary-General to ensure the expeditious liquidation of
closed peacekeeping missions and the crediting of Member States following the
liquidation of such missions and to submit a report thereon to the General Assembly
at its resumed fifty-seventh session;
19. Also requests the Secretary-General to report to it on an annual basis on
the implementation of the strategic deployment stocks within the context of his
report on the United Nations Logistics Base.
