It had before it a letter, dated 21 December 2005, from the President of the Economic and Social Council to the Chairperson of the Commission on the Status of Women (E/CN.6/2006/14), and a note by the Secretariat on creating an environment at the national and international levels conducive to generating full and productive employment and decent work for all, and its impact on sustainable development (E/CN.6/2006/CRP.4). At its 11th meeting, on 8 March, the Commission authorized the Chairperson to draw the attention of the President of the Economic and Social Council to the above-mentioned note by the Secretariat (E/CN.6/2006/CRP.4) for the information of the Council’s high-level segment in 2006. 54
