Emphasizing the importance of the effective participation of all relevant
stakeholders from the least developed countries, developing countries and countries
with economies in transition in the sessions of the Commission on Crime Prevention
and Criminal Justice and in the sessions of the Conference of the Parties to the
United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and the Conference
of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption,
Calls upon Member States, international organizations and funding

institutions to redouble their efforts to increase their voluntary contributions to
assist the Secretary-General in covering the cost of travel and daily subsistence
allowance for the participation of representatives of least developed countries in the
sessions of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and in the
sessions of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against
Transnational Organized Crime and the Conference of the States Parties to the
United Nations Convention against Corruption, and requests the Executive Director
of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to intensify efforts to ensure the
increased participation of representatives of least developed countries in those
meetings;
Requests the Secretary-General to report to the Commission on Crime

the present resolution.
