Upon entering our Database, in card view you will note that each card has a small bookmark graphic on the top right-hand corner. When you click on this, you will see it has turned pink – this now means you have “saved” this results.

Now, it is important to note that while document cards also have bookmark graphics, you cannot actually save a who document. The reason being, that once you have saved a paragraph, you can then edit the text according to your needs as part of the work for policy influencing and advocacy.

To find your saved paragraphs, navigate to the top of the screen, and click on Human Rights Policy Database. You will see that the last item listed in the drop-down menu is “My Saved Paragraphs”. Here you will find all of your saved results.

Once you have saved the paragraphs you need, you can find them all on the “My Saved Paragraphs” page. This page does not require a login as it actually is unique to each user. It will keep all the paragraphs you saved and/or edited on the specific browser and device you are using and will keep all of this information until you clear your browser cache.

One your “My Saved Paragraphs” age, you’ll notice that each saved result is listed with:

• A reference (document title, paragraph number, year)
• The original text on the left
• A button labeled “edit text” on the right

While there is not yet an integrated function to export your saved paragraphs and edited text, you can right click anywhere on the page, and select “Print”. From here you can save this page as a pdf and share it with your colleagues and peers. In addition, the text boxes make it easy to copy and paste any changes you’ve made into a word document, email, comment, message, etc.
