Summary
The Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child
pornography submits the present report to the Human Rights Council at its twenty-second
session, pursuant to Council resolutions 7/13 and 19/37.
This report describes the activities carried out by the Special Rapporteur since her
last report in March 2012 and provides a thematic study on the protection of children from
sexual exploitation in travel and tourism presenting an overview of the current situation of
the sexual exploitation of children in travel and tourism and making practical
recommendations to ensure the effective protection of children from this phenomenon.
