Joint report of the Special Rapporteur on the sale and
sexual exploitation of children, including child prostitution,
child pornography and other child sexual abuse material
and the Special Rapporteur on trafficking in persons,
especially women and children
Summary
The present report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution
71/177 and Human Rights Council resolutions 34/16 and 35/5. The Special
Rapporteur on trafficking in persons, especially women and children, and the Special
Rapporteur on the sale and sexual exploitation of children, including child
prostitution, child pornography and other child sexual abuse material have describe d
herein their activities undertaken in accordance with their respective mandates since
their previous reports to the Assembly (A/71/303 and A/71/261, respectively).
They also provide a study on the vulnerabilities of children to sale, trafficking,
and other forms of exploitation in situations of conflict and humanitarian crisis.
Their recommendations, at the end of the report, are aimed at reducing the
vulnerabilities of those children and enhancing their protection.
