Report of the Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom
of peaceful assembly and of association
Summary
At its thirty-fourth session, the Human Rights Council appointed Annalisa
Ciampi as Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of
association; she formally took up her role on 1 May 2017.
In the present report, the Special Rapporteur outlines her vision of the mandate
established by the Council in its resolution 15/21, building on the work of the
previous mandate holder.
