Human resources management The General Assembly, Recalling Articles 8, 97, 100 and 101 of the Charter of the United Nations, Reaffirming its resolution 47/226 of 8 April 1993, Bearing in mind the views expressed by Member States on human resources management questions in the Fifth Committee during the forty-ninth session of the General Assembly, 1/ Having considered the relevant documents on human resources management questions submitted by the Secretary-General to the General Assembly at its forty-ninth session, 2/ Having heard the views expressed by the recognized staff representatives in the Fifth Committee in accordance with its resolution 35/213 of 17 December 1980, Recognizing that the staff of the Organization is an invaluable asset of the United Nations, and commending its contribution to furthering the purposes and principles of the United Nations, 1.
