Construction of additional office facilities at the Economic Commission for Africa The General Assembly, Having considered the report of the Secretary-General on the construction of additional office facilities at the Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa1 and the related report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions,2 1. Endorses the conclusions and recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions contained in its report;2 2. Approves the utilization of an amount of 7,711,800 United States dollars for the construction of additional office facilities at the Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa, to be financed within the available balance of the construction-in-progress account; 3. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly on an annual basis on progress made in the construction of additional office facilities at the Economic Commission for Africa, bearing in mind the views and recommendations contained in paragraphs 4, 5 and 8 of the report of the Advisory Committee. 97th plenary meeting 27 March 2002 _______________ 1 2 01 49808 A/56/672.
