Summary
At its ninth session, the Working Group of Experts on People of African Descent
engaged in a thematic discussion on structural discrimination against people of African
descent. It also discussed possible activities in the context of the 2011 International Year
for People of African Descent, which was declared by the General Assembly in its
resolution 64/169.
