Report of the Special Rapporteur on the sale of children,
child prostitution and child pornography
Summary
The present report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution
66/141. The Special Rapporteur describes her activities in relation to the discharge of
her mandate since her previous report to the Assembly.
She also analyses the role of child participation in preventing and combating
the sale and sexual exploitation of children and provides practical guidance on the
lessons learned in working with children as partners. She makes specific
recommendations on how to establish and strengthen child participation within a
rights-based comprehensive child protection system.
