Summary
The report outlines the major activities undertaken by the mandate during the
period from August 2011 to July 2012. It also provides a thematic review of the
evolution of, and achievements and new challenges and trends relating to, internal
displacement over the past two decades, a theme which marks the occasion of the
twentieth anniversary of the mandate on the human rights of internally displaced
persons.
