71/262. Pattern of conferences
The General Assembly,
Recalling its previous resolutions on the pattern of conferences, including
resolution 70/9 of 13 November 2015,
Recalling also its previous resolutions on multilingualism, and reaffirming the
provisions relating to conference services thereon, in particular resolution 69/324 of
11 September 2015,
Reaffirming its resolution 42/207 C of 11 December 1987, in which it
requested the Secretary-General to ensure the equal treatment of the official
languages of the United Nations,
Having considered the report of the Committee on Conferences for 2016 1 and
the relevant report of the Secretary-General, 2
Having also considered the report of the
Administrative and Budgetary Questions, 3
Advisory Committee
on
Reaffirming the role of the Fifth Committee of the General Assembly in
administrative and budgetary matters,
Recalling its resolution 14 (I) of 13 February 1946 and the role of the Advisory
Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions as a subsidiary body of the
General Assembly,
