All States should work with the media and civil society, including the medical and transplant communities, to raise awareness of trafficking in persons for the removal of organs among potential target populations, including awareness of the risks involved in both selling and buying organs. In that regard, States should recognize the significant role that can be played by physicians in identifying and deterring trafficking in persons for the removal of organs and related practices, including transplant tourism.
