Welcomes the report of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, and expresses its support for his work for children affected by armed conflict, in particular his efforts to raise worldwide awareness and to mobilize official and public opinion for the protection of children affected by armed conflict, including through field visits, with the consent of the State concerned, in order to promote respect for the rights and needs of children in conflict and post-conflict situations;
