Modalities for the Summit of the Future The General Assembly, Recalling our declaration on the commemoration of the seventy-fifth anniversary of the United Nations, 1 in which we recognized that our challenges are interconnected and can only be addressed through stronger international cooperation and reinvigorated multilateralism with the United Nations at the centre of our efforts, in line with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, Recalling also our pledge to strengthen global governance for the sake of present and future generations and our request to the Secretary-General to report back with recommendations to advance our common agenda and to respond to current and future challenges, Welcoming the submission of the rich and substantive report of the Secretary General entitled “Our Common Agenda” 2 as a basis for further consideration by Member States, Reaffirming its resolution 70/1 of 25 September 2015, entitled “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”, in which it adopted a comprehensive, far-reaching and people-centred set of universal and transformative Sustainable Development Goals and targets, and its commitment to working tirelessly for the full implementation of the Agenda by 2030, Reaffirming also its resolution 69/313 of 27 July 2015 on the Addis Ababa Action Agenda of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development, which is an integral part of the 2030 Agenda, supports and complements it, helps to contextualize its means of implementation targets with concrete policies and actions and reaffirms the strong political commitment to address the challenge of financing, __________________ 1 2 22-21687 (E) Resolution 75/1.
