The Special Rapporteur was interested to attend the presentation of the OSCE's guidelines on the Protection of Human Rights Defenders, taking advantage of that meeting to initiate promising contacts with the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe and the European Union Special Representative for Human Rights, both of whom requested him to arrange for coordination in Europe with their respective mandates.
