Closed peacekeeping missions The General Assembly, Recalling its resolution 74/278 of 30 June 2020 and its decision 74/571 of 3 September 2020, Having considered the report of the Secretary-General on the updated financial position of closed peacekeeping missions as at 30 June 2020 1 and the related report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions, 2 1. Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General; 2. Endorses the conclusions and recommendations contained in the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions, subject to the provisions of the present resolution; 3. Takes note of paragraphs 9 and 10 (b) of the report of the Advisory Committee; 4. Stresses that all Member States should fulfil their financial obligations as set out in the Charter of the United Nations on time, in full and without conditions; 5. Urges all Member States to make every possible effort to ensure payment of their assessed contributions in full; 6. Notes that the use of unreturned balances to cover temporary liquidity needs of the Organization is not an established mechanism, and emphasizes that this practice is not sustainable; __________________ 1 2 21-09008 (E) A/75/619.
