Recognizes the interlinkages between poverty, lack of or inadequate access to health-care services, early childbearing and child marriage as root causes of obstetric fistula, that poverty remains the main social risk factor and that the eradication of poverty is critical to meeting the needs and rights of women and girls, and calls upon States, in collaboration with the international community, to take action to address the situation;
