57/329. Financing of the United Nations Angola Verification Mission
and the United Nations Observer Mission in Angola
The General Assembly,
Having considered the report of the Secretary-General on the financing of the United
Nations Angola Verification Mission and the United Nations Observer Mission in Angola1
and the related report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary
Questions,2
1.
Authorizes the Secretary-General to retain an amount of 12,458,000 United
States dollars from the balance of appropriations of 72,831,000 dollars to meet the cost of
outstanding Government claims;
2.
Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its fifty-eighth session the item
entitled “Financing of the United Nations Angola Verification Mission and the United
Nations Observer Mission in Angola”.
