He also stresses the importance of the joint statement delivered in March 2014 by Botswana on behalf of a group of 47 States to the twenty-fifth session of the Human Rights Council which referred to the call by the Secretary-General and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights for organizational coherence and a systematic approach by the United Nations to protect civil society actors better.
