A/HRC/RES/24/33 albinism, public condemnation of attacks against persons with albinism, and public awareness-raising campaigns; Noting with appreciation the preliminary report on persons with albinism submitted by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 23/13, Inviting the human rights treaty bodies and special procedures of the Human Rights Council to continue to give attention, within their respective mandates, to the situation of human rights of persons with albinism, Calling upon States to ensure accountability through the conduct of impartial, speedy and effective investigations into attacks against persons with albinism falling within their jurisdiction, and to bring to justice those responsible, as well as to ensure that victims and family members have access to appropriate remedies, Convinced of the need for effective action to combat and eliminate attacks against persons with albinism and to adopt specific measures to protect and preserve the rights to life and to security of persons with albinism, as well as their right not to be subject to torture and ill-treatment, 1. Requests the Human Rights Council Advisory Committee to prepare a study on the situation of human rights of persons living with albinism and to submit a report thereon to the Human Rights Council at its twenty-eighth session; 2.
