International assistance for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Nicaragua: aftermath of the war and natural disasters The General Assembly, Recalling its resolutions 45/15 of 20 November 1990, 46/109 A and B of 17 December 1991 and 47/118 of 18 December 1992 concerning the situation in Central America, in which it welcomed the implementation of phases I and II of the National Conciliation Agreement on Economic and Social Matters concluded in Nicaragua on 26 October 1990 and 15 August 1991, and endorsed, in particular, the provision the concerning exceptional circumstances of Nicaragua and the invitation to the international community and the international funding agencies to provide effective and efficient support for the implementation of the Agreement, Recalling also its resolution 47/169 of 22 December 1992 concerning the item entitled "International assistance for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Nicaragua: aftermath of the war and natural disasters", in which it commended the international community for its work in the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Nicaragua and requested the continuation of the support to overcome the aftermath of the war and natural disasters and to stimulate the process of reconstruction and development, Deeply concerned at the fact that the recent natural disasters and the burden of foreign debt are impeding Nicaragua’s efforts to overcome the consequences of the war within the framework of a democracy and in the macroeconomic conditions already achieved, /...
