At the same meeting, the Main Committee considered proposed amendments to chapter V (The family, its roles, rights, composition and structure) of the draft programme of action. Statements were made by the representatives of Australia, Germany (on behalf of the European Union), the Holy See, Austria, Zambia, Zimbabwe, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, Ecuador and Benin.
