Endorses the proposals, recommendations and conclusions of the Special
Committee contained in paragraphs 5 to 10 of the report on its 2006 resumed
session;
Urges Member States, the Secretariat and the relevant organs of the

United Nations to take all necessary steps to implement the aforementioned
proposals, recommendations and conclusions of the Special Committee, and
supports the request of the Special Committee to the Secretary-General that he
provide a progress report on the implementation of its recommendations at its next
regular session;
Requests the Special Committee to include this issue in its report to the

General Assembly at its sixty-first session.
