- Calls upon States to take, as a matter of urgency, all appropriate measures, including through sufficient resource allocation, to prevent, and to protect children, without discrimination of any kind, from, torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, and to abolish harmful practices that compromise the dignity and integrity of the child and that are prejudicial to the health of boys and girls, particularly by preventing and explicitly condemning such practices, as well as addressing violence leading to child self-harm and suicide;
