Decides to accept the redeployment of 428,500 dollars from section 3 to section 8 of the programme budget for the biennium 1994-1995, 1/ as proposed by the Secretary-General; 2. Requests the Secretary-General to review his proposal for additional resources in the light of the comments of Member States in the Fifth Committee of the General Assembly at its forty-ninth session and of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions, and to submit it through the Committee for Programme and Coordination and the Advisory Committee in the context of the proposed programme budget for the biennium 1996-1997; 3. Also requests the Secretary-General to prepare a draft budget section containing his proposals, for implementation during the biennium 19961997, for activities mandated under programme 45 of the medium-term plan for the period 1992-1997, entitled "Africa: critical economic situation, recovery and development", taking into account the views expressed by Member States in the Fifth Committee of the General Assembly at its forty-ninth session and those of the Advisory Committee, and to submit it through the Committee for Programme and Coordination and the Advisory Committee to the General Assembly at its fiftieth session; VI FIRST PERFORMANCE REPORT 1. Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General 12/ and the related report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions; 13/ 2.
