The Special Rapporteur also highlights the vital contributions by civil society and movements in building sustainable peace and democratic transitions and identifies key barriers and challenges. The Special Rapporteur recommends measures that all stakeholders can take to enable, promote and support the inclusion of diverse civil society in all phases and decision-making for such processes to ensure that peace and democratic transitions are sustainable and just. 2/24 23-14697
