28. At the same meeting, the representative of Azerbaijan orally revised the draft
resolution.
The
revisions
were
subsequently
issued
in
document
E/CN.6/2002/L.1/Rev.1, which was before the Commission at its 14th meeting, on
15 March.
29. At the 14th meeting, on 15 March, the representative of Azerbaijan introduced
revisions to draft resolution E/CN.6/2002/L.1/Rev.1, which were circulated in an
informal paper.
30. At the same meeting, Burkina Faso, Ghana,1 the Islamic Republic of Iran,
Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines,1 Suriname 1 and the United States of
America joined in sponsoring the revised draft resolution, as further revised.
31. The Commission was advised that the revised draft resolution contained no
programme budget implications.
32. Also at the 14th meeting, the Commission adopted the revised draft resolution,
as further revised (see chap. I, sect. C, resolution 46/1).
The situation of and assistance to Palestinian women
33. At the 9th meeting, on 11 March, the observer for Venezuela, 1 on behalf of the
States Members of the United Nations that are members of the Group of 77 and
China, introduced a draft resolution entitled “The situation of and assistance to
Palestinian women” (E/CN.6/2002/L.2).
34. At the 12th meeting, on 15 March, the Commission was advised that the draft
resolution contained no programme budget implications.
35. At the same meeting, the Commission approved the draft resolution by a
recorded vote of 38 to 1, and recommended it to the Economic and Social Council
for adoption (see chap. I, sect. A, draft resolution I). The voting was as follows: 2
