Requests the Government of Burundi to continue its efforts geared towards the achievement of national reconciliation and the maintenance of lasting peace, inter alia, through adherence to the principles of the Convention on Governance, provisions that are essential for the successful and sustainable implementation of humanitarian aid and economic, financial, material and technical assistance to the people of Burundi; 6. Calls upon the Secretary-General to report to the General Assembly at its fifty-first session on the implementation of the present resolution; 7.
