A/RES/67/48 implementation of all resolutions related to women in the context of peace and security; 3. Urges Member States to support and strengthen the effective participation of women in organizations in the field of disarmament at the local, national, subregional and regional levels; Calls upon all States to empower women, including through 4. capacity-building efforts, as appropriate, to participate in the design and implementation of disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control efforts; Requests the relevant United Nations organs, agencies, funds and 5. programmes to assist States, upon request, in promoting the role of women in disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control, including in preventing, combating and eradicating the illicit trade in small arms and light weapons; Requests the Secretary-General to seek the views of Member States on 6. ways and means of promoting the role of women in disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control, and to report to the General Assembly at its sixty-eighth session on the implementation of the present resolution; Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its sixty-eighth session, 7. under the item entitled “General and complete disarmament”, the sub-item entitled “Women, disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control”. 48th plenary meeting 3 December 2012 2
